Centre for Precision Technologies, University of HuddersfieldCentre for Precision Technologies, University of Huddersfield The University of Huddersfield formed in 1992 from the former Huddersfield Polytechnic. To date the University has 23,000 Students and a strong history in Engineering and Design.

In the 2008 research assessment exercise, The Centre for precision Technologies itself (CPT) was judged as internationally outstanding. In 2011 the CPT was designated as an EPSRC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Advanced Metrology.

CPT will work in conjunction with KITE innovation as co-coordinators for the project, in addition to their role as WP2 Leaders. CPT will be involved in the collection of information regarding common defects in substrates and use this to develop characterization techniques as well as working on optical sensor development.
